"Revelation Song" — Gateway Worship

My apologies to frequenters of this blog.  I know it’s been a while since the last post.  But rest assured, this blog is still alive and breathing.  I can’t say I’ll have as much time to add new posts, as my wife, Soo, and I have recently taken on the role of Directors of the Element youth department at Gracepoint Fellowship Church in Berkeley, which makes me a little busier.  But I’ve been trying to conscript some of our worship team veterans to contribute to this, so I won’t be the bottleneck for adding to this blog… or at least not the only one to blame… (ahem… Susan?)

Anyway, recently I’ve been particularly moved by “Revelation Song” by Gateway Worship.  Watch Gateway Worship lead this song below…

10 points to each person who can contribute biblical references (via comment) from which the lyrics are derived.

Thanks for introducing the congregation to this song! I enjoy it very much. My friends call this song the “Bessie Song” because they don’t know what it’s called..and no matter how many times I tell them the name.. it doesn’t matter!

James Oppa, what is Rev 5:12 …??

READERS: just a plug for SFSU Koinonia’s Praise Team’s blog site. It’s new so there’s very little content on it.. it’s mainly for our band to use. But if you have any useful things to share with us, please do!! We are a band pulled together with whoever can hold a note or keep a beat… for as long as we can at least 🙂 So we’ve got a lot of growing to do. In any case, feel free to check it out, I’ll also be posting some useful/cool YouTube videos.

I love this song too. After we sang this song I played it over and over again….the version I downloaded was alright, but I wish there was a Bessie version.=)

  3. my daughter is very musically gifted. she works hard at church as the youth praise team leader and as a player on our church’s main worship team. she’s struggling with direction in life. she’ll be a softmore next year. do you know of any teen camps, workshops, clubs, etc. that you know of that focus on helping kids seek out a career path in music ministry?

Hello Barry. Willow Creek has great conferences I hear, but I’ve never been to one myself. They have an arts conference thats specifically for people involved in the arts. I’m not sure of how to seek out a career path in music ministry though…everyone at our church is something else by day, a minister by night, and a musician on Fridays and Sundays….good luck!
